Lucky Puppy is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern dedicated to my love of dogs! Included in the pattern are some different color combination ideas, as well as layout ideas and printable miniatures to design your own layout! It includes the original pattern PDF, a PDF with all graphs on one page (perfect for tablets!), and a side-by-side written pattern PDF to reduce the need to flip pages!
 
The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. The written format is in a new, easier to read format! I made a 3x3 piece that measures 40” x 40” without the border. I used Caron Blossom Cakes in Tidepool Beach and Yacht Club. The size is subject to change depending on your crochet tension and yarn/hook choices.
 
This is an intermediate level pattern. It uses angled stitches. I have included a photo tutorial for those stitches, as well as a tutorial video. There is also a tutorial video created by Alissa S. on angled stitches for left-handed crocheters. The PDF does include a photo tutorial on creating a basic envelope border.

Please note that different yarns, different tensions, and different hook sizes will all utilize a different amount of yarn. All yarn totals are included in the pattern. There are also estimations of yardage needed for varying sizes of blankets. Each square uses approximately 170-200 yards, depending on yarn.
 
If you are new to my designs, please note I use “F” to indicate a front loop only stitch, and “B” to indicate a back loop only stitch in the written portion of the pattern.
