Spring Fling

$0.00Price

Spring Fling is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern with the feel of spring! Included in the pattern are some different color combination ideas. I used a DK weight yarn (details below) and made the small Lapghan size measuring 36” x 46” with the border. I crocheted this piece fairly tight due to the nature of cotton yarn; this size is subject to change depending on your crochet tension.

This is a beginner level pattern and includes a photo tutorial on creating a basic envelope border.

The PDF pattern is written in U.S. terminology and includes the full written pattern in a row-by-row format, as well as the ticked graphs. The written format is in a new, easier to read format! Please download the "Guide to Overlay Mosaic Crochet" PDF from the free pattern files, if you need additional tutorial assistance.

I chose to make mine with a 4 mm hook and DK weight (3 weight) yarn.

Yarn specifics: Malabrigo Verano in Plum, Alpaca Metal, Arugula, and Pastels for the border.

I used a total of approximately 1,810 yards, excluding the border The border used approximately 435 yards (for a total of 2,245 yards). The size is approximately 33” wide by 43” tall excluding the border. Please note that different yarns, different tensions, and different hook sizes will all utilize a different amount of yarn.

If you are new to my designs, please note I use “F” to indicate a front loop only stitch, and “B” to indicate a back loop only stitch in the written portion of the pattern.
